About

The Journey.
I developed a passion for fitness at a young age, thanks to my father introducing me to physical exercise and self-improvement activities when I was around 6 years old. Initially, I was hesitant to engage, but his enthusiasm ignited a spark in me. As I grew older, I delved into my own fitness journey. At 16, I transformed my family's garage into a makeshift gym, using household items as weights and finding creative ways to enhance my physique.

In September 2010, my family relocated to a different town near our village. It was during this time that I discovered new sports, including arm wrestling. Unfortunately, a teenage injury temporarily halted my training. Upon recovery, I realized the necessity of adapting my exercises to avoid pain and muscle strain. This setback prompted me to broaden my understanding of muscle harmony, emphasizing the importance of both physical and mental aspects in training.

Initially aspiring to be a strong arm wrestler, I soon recognized that technique and training surpassed sheer strength. The beauty of wrestling lay in methodical training and technique. This realization shifted my mindset towards purposeful training, focusing on strength in various areas of my life. I became a stronger father, husband, and man by incorporating a holistic approach to my fitness journey.

In January 2017, I emigrated to Ireland, a move that exposed me to new perspectives and experiences. Here, I discovered the beauty of Martial Arts and began practicing Pencak Silat—an Indonesian art that nurtures the mind, body, and soul through strikes, grapples, throws, and traditional weaponry.

By February 2014, I officially became a certified trainer, having successfully obtained all necessary certifications and aced evaluations. This achievement marked the culmination of my journey, where previous injuries and sacrifices guided me to become a better person and trainer. This setback, in hindsight, fueled my curiosity for biomechanics, anatomy, physiotherapy, and muscle rehabilitation.

My dedication to hard work, resilience, research, flexibility, and mindfulness propelled me into the realm of natural, body-conscious movement. This approach emphasizes returning to the body's natural state to strengthen and make a lasting impact.

I found Arvy to be a highly knowledgeable and professional personal trainer. Many trainers demonstrate ego or use flirtation to engage. Arvy is polite and respectful.
